What a Salesman
The posting is not about the mass ignorance or the shattering of innocence experienced in the Emerald city but in the brilliance of the wizard.
What a sales man.
Imagine the confidence and drive required to sell the world this altered reality. What an amazing talent it would require to create such an illusion and present it so well that the public would paint themselves into that canvas. The story became their story and was the truth. They unconditionally believed and accepted it as the order of things.
Ever since humans began to bunch up together and become civilized we have imposed upon ourselves an idea of order and reality.
This common knowledge and belief was absolutely the truth, for it had always been that way. Rulers and leaders created laws and myths in order to control the people and retain their power.
Different religions came and went, all based on unfaltering belief. All one had to do to have happiness or reward was to believe without question. Any rejection of that presented story resulted in death either in the here and now or the here after, sometimes both.
It is still that way! Laws, rules, and regulations dictate every part of life.
We all know and believe that a challenge of the common religious beliefs condemn one straight to hell. We must be possessed by the devil if we dare question philosophy of a church or of a minister spewing his version of truth, regardless how far away from the bible. "He was called" upon personally and we know not to question anything said. Absolute unquestionable belief is the message and the glue that holds it all together.
Looking for the curtain, citizens of Munchkin land?
Through out history different interpretations and down right falsehoods were incorporated into the common belief. Sometimes for good, to help us all live together, but usually it was what was necessary to retain power and keep the people under control. These very things strayed from the truth and became the new perception.
Whatever the motive, the result was distortion of the truth by the opinion of a relatively small few and the creating of a new reality. Absolute faith in the man as well as the god was and is the unquestionable belief.
What Salesmen
Stay away from the curtain, you don't want to know.
Ramblings of a mad man?
Stick around and see, I may screw up your notion of it all.
Wanna argue or discuss any of this? Or anything in any entry in this blog? Im happy to.

Smoke and Mirrors
At the end of the movie, "The Wizard of OZ" we find Dorothy, her dog Toto, and the Tin Man, Scare Crow and The Lion in the presence of the great and mighty OZ. They came as a group but with individual wants or needs. Each believed the wizard could fulfil their desires. OZ was all things to all people and regardless of the wish, OZ could take care of it. ......
It was a common belief that by going to the Emerald City and seeking the Great OZ all things could be accomplished. Through out her travels, Dorothy heard over and over, follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City and everything she wanted would come true. The Great Oz would be able to get her home without a doubt because everything was possible if one believed......
Her companions believed that if the Great Oz could find Dorothy's way home then surely he could solve for them their need for perceived completeness. After all OZ is all powerful, all knowing, all seeing and anything would be possible if only one believed.......
The moment was finally here. The Great Oz made his appearance with all the magnificence expected. While denying their requests and attempting to scare them into leaving, Oz was revealed by Toto by pulling open the curtain left of the stage.......
There was no OZ. There was however a great and powerful wizard. Through an enormous feat of promotion, PR and salesmanship the wizard had the entire world believe the illusion.......
The reality and beliefs of the land were nothing more than smoke and mirrors controlled by a little old bald fat man behind a curtain pulling levers and releasing smoke...........

Cherry Popped at oooos4all
Hello, Welcome and Thank You all for reading the first post to appear on oooos 4all Alternative Lifestyles. Like all new things taken on, there must be a first time. A fun and rewarding experience is expected but that first time must be endured.
When one does anything new it is often the case to conceal the lack of experience and to appear knowledgeable. After all we can't allow them to know the virgins we really are. Insecurities and fear will convince us of the necessity to be witty and personable. Our inner voices tell us we must offer something so profound, that all who read us will be ensnared and beg for more.
We get the last laugh on those voices and insecurities though because we know that no one will read this. Standing out here in the void by ourselves we know we won't probably be found.
The only importance is getting by the first time, and destroying that innocence of virginity.
Was it good for you?
